My expectations for a new semester

Right now I´m studying Sociology. I am in first year and my subjects are: Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Methodology and English. My favorite subject is Methodology, but I also like History very much.
In the beginning of the semester I was really afraid about this new step in mi life, but now I feel more relaxed and motivated. Starting in the university can be a very frightening experience, because you have to meet new people, say goodbye to your older friends, start to study more. In fact, almost everything change. But it is also an opportunity to now yourself better, push you to the limit and start seeing the world completely different.
My expectations for this new semester are based on what I wrote above. I expect to develop my levels of knowledge, but also to learn how to be more social, how to listen to people and be able to understand them. Some people say that at your first year of university you think you are able to change the world, but then, with time you loose most of your expectations when reality shows up.  Anyway, I have my hope intact, but I also understand that hope and faith are not enough. If I want something to change, I have to do something about it. That is the only way possible to make it happen.
